New Indiependence Special Guest Headliners, Walking on Cars, are one of 2016’s great Irish success stories and its still only March. The Dingle 5-piece’s album has already gone Platinum, spending three weeks at number one while the single ‘Speeding Cars’ has seen them make huge in-roads into UK airtime. Creating anthemic balladry combined with booming guitar riffs and sing-a-long melodies, their epic songs have been already streamed over 5 million times and their upcoming Live at the Marquee show in Cork sold out in a matter of days.
Walking on Cars join a growing bill for INDIE16, that already features UK indie legends Editors, The Kooks and Idlewild, alongside some of the biggest Irish names of recent times in Bell X1Ash and The Strypes. INDIE favourites over the years Hudson Taylor, and The Blizzards also return to Deer Farm this summer, with some of the finest new talent around in Little HoursKing Kong Company, Pleasure Beach, Brian Deady, CC Brez, Saint Sister, Coasts and Stephanie Rainey.
