The Last Mixed Tape is proud to announce that it will be co-curating a night at the Sugar Club (February 20th) with Goldenplec, Le Cool and Nialler 9.

Hosted by the Sugar Club in conjunction with Abner Brown’s BarbershopBlog Party will see each of the four blogs choose their favorite band of 2014 to perform at the show, highlighting the eclectic nature of the Irish music at the moment. To that end the Last Mixed Tape has chosen the ever-brilliant September Girls as its pick to perform on the night.

Firm favorites at TLMT, the band had a stellar 2014 releasing their acclaimed debut album Cursing the Sea as well as the captivating E.P Veneer while also performing at last year’s SXSW, Body & Soul and Culture Collide festivals, all in the space of twelve months,

TONIGHTS GIG IN CRANE LANE

Tonight The Stoles play their first Cork gig in The Crane Lane Theatre tonight at 9pm. The Stoles have had much media attention recently and will be releasing their new single Man In A cave next week Thursday the 15Th of January.

To date they have played such great venues such as Wheelens Dublin and The Roisin Dubh Galway. It is exciting to have The Stoles playing Corks, Crane Lane. Not to be missed! Doors 8pm gig starts 9pm sharp. Hope to see you there 😀

STOLES STEALING THE IRISH MUSIC SPOTLIGHT

No one can argue that The Stoles are not a hard working and dedicated band. In only two short years they have a four track EP, several videos and now a new single, Man In A Cave to be released. This indie rock band who are based in Dublin but who hail from other parts of  Europe including France, Germany, Poland and Portugal, form a perfect sonic collaboration. Their new single Man In A Cave is set to be released in Tower Records on January 15th where they will play a live in-store gig! Man In A Cave was recorded in Wasteland Studios Dublin whose client list include everyone from Bob Dylan to Miley Cyrus and Hozier.

The Stoles are currently managed by former Miss Cork Antonia K. Moore. To date The Stoles have played many of Dublin’s well know venues such as Whelan’s and The Twisted Pepper. They are gearing up to play The Crane Lane Theatre, Cork on January 10th and will once again play the Twisted Pepper in Dublin on January 17th.
